Our Mission
An airline contacted us after one of their aircraft was struck by a flock of birds. The grounded plane would be out of action for at least five days while repairs were carried out, so a short-term ACMI lease was needed to cover its packed schedule of flights from Europe to North Africa and the Mediterranean. With just three hours to go until the next departure, it was a race against the clock to find a solution, so we got straight to work.

Our Solution
Working late into the evening, our specialist team reached out to our large network of partner operators to source a replacement Boeing 737-800. The aircraft was located close to our client’s base, meaning it could be fully crewed and in position within the next 90 minutes.
After learning crew accommodation was also needed, we brought in our experts in The Travel Division to book hotel rooms near the airport and ground transportation to transfer personnel there and back. Offering this extra service eased the workload of our client’s busy operations team, leaving them to focus on getting their aircraft back in service.
