Many of our clients needed help moving cargo around the world amidst border closures during the Covid-19 pandemic. One such customer was an airline working on behalf of its national postal service, who required a freighter for almost 14 months to fly shipments from Asia to their base in Europe and then on to the United States. Transatlantic loads like this often travel in the belly of a passenger plane, but with widespread travel restrictions halting scheduled services, a long-term leasing solution was needed to keep things moving.

Our Solution
We knew the specified amount of cargo required a midsize freighter. Our leasing experts were receiving regular requests to supplement cargo capacity during the pandemic, so we had a close eye on the market and were able to find the ideal solution within minutes.
Our team sourced an auxiliary freighter with a 50-tonne payload, which could easily accommodate the postal service’s shipments and was available for a long-term lease. As we were already marketing the aircraft for the lessor, we were able to negotiate the lease in double-quick time so deliveries could resume.
