ACS Leasing, a division of Air Charter Service, has enjoyed an extremely successful year, driven not only by a busy summer period but also significant growth in winter business, seeing 76% more contracts than for the same season last year.
Scott Collier, CEO of ACS Leasing, said: “We’ve experienced huge growth this year, with a particularly busy summer season. Along with more than 60 short-term ACMI deals, we also secured several new longer-term contracts – these included summer long contracts of multiple aircraft supporting Israeli and North African airlines. Aside from this new business, we have also extended our on-going year-round contracts in the Caribbean, Middle East and Uganda.
“But while the summer was strong, what really sets this year apart is our winter performance where our counter-cyclical activity has grown significantly. We are using our cross-regional reach and deep local relationships and knowledge to place aircraft where they are most needed globally.
“Continuing our growth and expansion, we have hired the experienced Hamdi Yaich to support our leasing activity in Africa and Asia and we have also brought into the team new multi-lingual experience with Tiago Mendonca joining our London Gatwick team.
“All these factors combined have driven revenue for the summer period to grow by 222%, compared to the same time last year, with some very high-value contracts.
“Looking at the winter, we have already contracted deals of more than 25,000 block hours, supporting national carriers in Oceania and Africa, as well as operators in India and the Middle East.”
